I’m a huge fan of street art/tagging/graffiti etc. When I saw this Shepherd Fairey, titled “Arab Woman” on the side of a wall in San Francisco last winter I was psyched. He and Banksy are my two favs. Fairey created that fantastic Obama poster we all remember from the campaign. He is the founder of Studio Number One in LA. He is being sued by the Associated Press for copyright infringement (wrongfully I believe) for the image used in that fantastic Obama “Hope” poster. That poster has been installed in the National Portrait Gallery. Woohoo! Street art gets gussied up and goes uptown.
